Question:

What should I bring to wear to the Democratic National Convention?

I work for a superdelegate and I will be volunteering, but I was given extremely vague details about how to dress/basically anything. I'm not senior-staff or anything, just an intern, so I'm really clueless as to what to bring to wear! Any suggestions?

  1. It really depends on where you'll be and what you'll be doing.  Keeping in mind that it is almost never a problem to be formally dressed, I would suggest the following.

    1.  If volunteering at the convention but not staffing the super delegate, I would suggest something that can be formal but easily converted to causal (i.e., for a guy, khaki's and a blazer, with a tie, but knowing full well that the tie can be put in the blazer pocket and and the blazer can be hung up - I am not sure what the equivalent is for women, but if you are one I trust you can handle the conversion)

    2. If you're going to be staffing the superdelegate, then I would suggest some more formal - especially if you will be attending lots of events with the super delegate and its really a business situation.

    hope that helps
