  1. i live on central west coast california, near santa barbara... they wear alot of capris out here, sandals or flip flops. the weather is nearly exactly the same all year round. best advice i can give, is to tell you to bring a jacket...cause even though temps are mid 60's to 70's just about everyday, when the sun goes down, it gets COLD at night, until the sun comes up and burns through the marine layer that rolls in from the ocean at night. money wise, its a bit more expensive out here, than it was in the midwest where i'm originally from (chicago) i can also tell you, the people are awesome & friendly out here.. come and enjoy the beaches, ocean and flowers, palm trees!

  2. you should try a lot of sunny outfits like sunny colors sun dresses flip-flops sandals, cute hats, hot bathing suits,if you have long hair id advise headbands barrette's or clips

  3. first off, the style here is just as diverse as the people here. your best bet are sun dresses, flowy tops, dark jeans, cuffed shorts, gladiator sandals, dressier flip flops, flats, light sweaters, belts cinched at the waist, silk or light material scarves, basic v-neck tshirts, gold/silver accessories, button down shirts, sunglasses [aviators and wayfarers are huge right now, and a trusty purse.

as for shopping, it depends on where you want to shop and where you're going. there are a ton of vintage shops in LA and san fran and also a lot of boutiques and high end stores, obviously. i would say to bring about $700 to be on the safe side so you can get a little bit of everything. :)
