What should I build for a school audition?

I need to build a carpentry project for a school audition, but I have no idea what I need to build.

This is a late audition, so it has to be unique and impressive.

Please give me ideas. If you've found something on the net, please include the link. By the way, it's for a high school audition.

Something useful and beautiful.  How about a chair?  That would be impressive, if you have the skill.  Ooh! Idea... how about a small doll house?  You could donate it to a PTA auction or raffle.  Also, if they have a theatre department, you could design some sort of stage set or prop. ??

This sounds like an interesting high school.  My daughter goes to an arts magnet school.   I think the most important thing they look for in these auditions is passion.  They want students who really want to be there and are passionate about what they do.  Good luck.
