  1. BT vision is pretty good actually. You get the box for free if you have their broadband, there's no monthly fee, rent films on demand and they have a huge choice for varying prices (most recent films are about £3.99, and older films for as little as £1.99), so if there's nothing on tv, you don't have make the trip to the dvd shop! Pausing live tv, tv replay (only on channel 4 and bbc), they have a huge selection of programmes which you can rent for free, some golden oldies, and series. Record live tv (has a twin tuner, so can record two channels at the same time), series record. Other stuff as well which I haven't quite mastered/I'm not really interested in!

I've only had a couple of glitches with it when something happened to the broadband connection, but freeview still worked. Their support is pretty good, although the usual 'please hold the line, for longer than you think' still applies!

I've had it for about a year now, and it's fine, I've had use of sky before but I wouldn't go for it because of the price. If you're really bothered about having the sky channels and you can afford their price plans, I guess that's the better choice. But to be honest there's more than enough channels on freeview alone. What the box does in itself would set you back a 'few bob' if you were buying a digital twin tuner, recorder 'box', and this one is for free, happy days! : )

  2. we have both, but bt vision is c**p, you have to reset every so often, stick with sky, defo

  3. I have Sky+ and it's great but I have the full package and wanted to reduce costs so i asked about BT Vision on here and everyone told me to pay the extra with Sky and that BT Vision has lots of connection problems, particularly with bad weather. Not one person said they liked it and all regretted getting it. I don't know personally as I haven't seen it but it was enough to put me off. Sky+ functions are really good. I couldn't live without the rewind facility and I often recore something and watch it half an hour behind so you can fast forward the ads!

  4. sky!!!

    i couldnt live without it!
