  1. Seasons is so much better. You have seasons and tons of extra stuff. Its awesome, hobbies is kinda boring.

  2. Freetime has hobbies, you can talk to other sims about your hobby, search the web, blog,  read about your hobby in the newspaper you also get several different "secret lots". There are also crafting items.(Flowers, Toys, and Mechanical things like Robots ect..) If you have Open for Business you can sell the things you craft or use them around the house. I made a Servo(Life size Robot) and use it instead of paying for a maid. The Servo becomes part of your family. It can't have kids, but it can work and fall in love ect.

Seasons gives you the ability to grow food, and make fruit juice. it comes with a Plant person that can have plant babies just by releasing spores, you can also fish with seasons (you can earn a badge by fishing) You have the ability to make a snowman, snow angel or have a snowball fight. Both come with new clothes, houses, hairstyles, and neighborhoods. With Seasons you get a skating and Ice Skating Rink. I guess it all depends on what you find interesting and fun. Why not get both???

  3. Hobbies is much more enjoyable. The Seasons one is really irritating because it's never safe to leave the house! During the summer, you usually get a Sim with heatstroke, Spring, they get struck by lightening, Winter, they freeze, and Autumn... Hmm, maybe Autumn is safe, lol I can't remember what happens then. The Sims always run to the window and get excited because it's raining or snowing or whatever, and some have completely irrational fears like "See rain/hail/snow" so they lose aspiration points.

Hobbies is much more fun, as they can gain more interest in their certain hobbies, and this opens up new lots that they alone can visit, for example, a Sim who loves cooking can go to Sue's Secret Kitchen and be taught by a chef, or enter a cookery competition and win. There's also new interactions between Sims, where they  can talk about their hobbies, or give advice to other Sims about it. Oh, and they can blog about them on the computer too! lol

  4. Definitely Seasons. (:
