i would go for clothes or money no books no toys it really does not leave a lot else to do

Wow they haven't give you much to go on ..but clothes and give cards would be an idea ..the link below has some lovely clothes

No toys? That's interesting? Well, what are his interests? Autistic individuals tend to fixate on certain interests or hobbies. Find out what he likes, especially something that academic based. I would get him books or other educational material pertaining to that subject.
