Question:

What should I buy my mother-in-law?

My mother in law lives in New Zealand and I will shortly be going to visit her for the first time. I have never met her so wouldn't want to buy something personal like make-up, jewellery, perfume or clothes. Also it needs to be small and light enough to pack in my suitcase. I want to spend about £50 - something from a high quality brand would be good.

  1. I suggest getting her something that means something to you like a tradition you have in your family.  I would also suggest a picture of you and your husband or your family for her.

  2. I'm in the USA, and don't know exactly how much 50 pounds is, but here are a few suggestions:

    A beautiful serving dish

Two tickets for her and a friend to go to a show/concert

    A collection of figurines

    Crystal goblets of champagne flutes

    Hope this helps!

  3. clothes would be nice...
