OK. I'm 14 and I am about 5"6 3/4 and weight about 150 lbs. Am I considerded overweight? I am at the 95th percentile for height and weight I think. Most of my friends are 5"3,5"6 and weight about 95-115 lbs. I want to know honestly Am I overweight? In october I am going to be playing soccer and basketball. I go to the gym daily with my dad. How can I change my diet also? What are some good diets(i will not go on any pills) for teenagers.

P.S. I want honesty!

  3. Guys are so immature, sweet heart. Seriously, just keep exercising but do it in a healthy pace. You can burn off the weight easily with Soccer and basketball. As of diets, eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. Rice is also very good since it's packed carbohydrates.

  4. If your overweight. Excercise for one hour a day.  Avoiding foods like chocolate,chips,candy, and really oily foods and fast food will help too.

    If you have to eat outside subway is good! :)

  5. Hey just to give you an idea, I am 5"5" 110 pounds and have an average frame and considered skinny. So a little bit maybe like 25 pounds idk.

Change your attitude!  First of all, guys your age don't know what they like in a girl.  You can't be down on yourself just because you haven't got a boyfriend yet.  From everything you wrote, I don't think you're overweight, but if you start to obsess about it, then you may become overweight.  How you see yourself, is how others will see you.  If you believe you are attractive and feel attractive, you will be attractive to others no matter how you look, as long as you take care of yourself.

    Taking care of yourself means you keep clean and well groomed.  Make sure you brush your teeth often.  Wear nice clothes (don't have to be fancy or brand name, either).  Have a nice hair style (very important) and a pleasant personality.  Good luck.

    So eat healthy but you must also work out at least 4 days a week for about an hour at a time.

    But do some research online for dieting.

    Weight does not always determine if you are overweight. You may just have bigger bones and/or more muscle mass than the other girls. These are heavier than fat.
