  1. Hello love, make sure that you check your oil, and transmision fluids. also check your tires. good luck.... make sure that your timing belt is still intact.

what kind of car do you race?

  2. Sand dirt dust and grime you should always check and wash up after races.

  3. First, clean the car. Check the oil. Grease the hiems, lube any moveable parts. Complete bolt check. Sipe, and possibly regroove the tires.

  4. EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN THINK OF, tire pressure oil level, you know.

  5. In a nutshell: Everything.

If you're on dirt start with a trip to the car wash or a good scrubbing with the garden hose. Asphalt racers get to skip this part.

Start with a good walk-around. Even a Saturday night Bomber should be given a full look-over. Jack it up and get the wheels off. Check wheels for loose lugs and nuts. Check wheel lug holes that may be "wallowed" out. Check brake pads, discs and drums. Check brake line connections to calipers.

Get the hood out of the way and dive in. All hoses, wires and lines need to be checked. Check radiator to make sure it's secure and leak free. Check radiator mounts for rub spots.

Pull the covers and check all the springs, lifters, gaps, rockers, etc. Re-torque everything.

Check carbeurator springs, etc. Double-check linkage and throttle return spring. Nothing ruins a summer like a stuck throttle going into Three.

If you can afford it use an oil filter with a trap you can inspect. If you can afford it change your oil after every night's races.

Check brake and clutch reservoirs. Check lines. Check power steering. Check ball joints and replace them BEFORE the give out. Check tierods.

Underneath check clutch plate and discs, look for worn spots on flywheel, check tranny fluid and linkage. Check rear-end fluid and seals. Listen for rear gears properly meshing.

Check fuel filter and cell and fuel lines. Try to get in the habit of completely emptying and cleaning the fuel cell on a regular basis.

Check belts, seats, steering mounts, battery mount and connection.

    Check beer supply.

Check trailer/hauler. Inspect and replace worn out tools. Toss out broken parts that have no use. Clean out trash and mop up fluids/spills. Check fuel cans and clean out any debris.

    Re-check beer supply.

Check tow vehicle with normal maintenance schedule on tires, oil, lights, etc.
