Question:

What should I cut out of my diet?

Lately I have had a really poor diet. I exercise about 9 hours a week, but I snack all day long. What do you think I should cut out of my diet so I can lose about 10 pounds?

Today I ate:

a bowl of Cheerios (about 2 cups) with non fat milk

hummus and pita bread

white rice (about three cups) with plain yogurt

two small plums

  1. Sounds pretty healthy,

    - small meals are great!

    I would keep doing what you're doing but i'm not sure thats enough food.

    Add some more protein, you need you're meats, also drink water, juices, milk, etc..

    Try green tea after eating.

    It breaks down fat, and speeds up you're metabolism if you drink enough.

  3. That is a good diet but try to exercise a little more like 30 Hours a week. Buy a treadmill and use that in the mourning and at night for about 10-15 minutes. Don't add sugar to anything and also have healthy meals, fruit, veggies,and LOTS OF PROTEIN! for almost everything. Include them into your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like for breakfast have a bowl of Cheerios with strawberries and for lunch have a fish fillet and for dinner have something with green beans.

  4. Gosh, you need to do a major overhaul on your diet!  Breakfast is good.  There's nothing wrong with hummus and pita (although some are high in calories), and there's nothing wrong with yogurt and plums, but get an eating schedule and make sure you incorporate all the major food groups.  Switch out your white rice for brown.  You want to add to your consumption of whole grains.  You definitely need to add protein and vegetables.  More fruit would be good too.
