What should I do, as an entering freshman in junior high, to prepare for my future?

by "prepare for my future", i mean to go to a tier 1 university anywhere in the world?

challenge yourself (not too much), study, get involved (join clubs and volunteer), stay away from bad influences...

Establish good study habits

If possible take advanced courses

Look at college options by requesting information from them

Volunteer in the fields that interest you

Stay grounded, balance your social and academic lives

Study hard and get good grades, volunteer in the community and become active in extracurricular activities in school.  Also, work extremely hard on your writing skills.
