What should I do? Can I console him?

I have this boyfriend,well he called me a few minutes ago and he says he feels like nothing is going right for him that he works hard for nothing, he has a lot of personal problems that he doesn't share with me. He will not tell me either. (who doesn't have any problems?) Well I'm sorry that he feels like this and I don't want to lose him. What can I tell him to make him feel better other than just telling him to try to think positive?

That you love him and believe in him and when and if he feels like he can talk about his problems, you are there for him.  

When someone is struggling, they usually do not hear the positive stuff.  Is it possible he is depressed?

Just let him know that you are there for him and if you have a prayer life, pray for him.  With you being his girlfriend, he should be open and sharing with you.  But give him space.  God Bless
