Question:

What should I do? I lost my dwarf hamster?

I picked it up to play with it for the first time since we bought it this afternoon and it jumped out of my hands and on to the floor, it kept running behind things. I chased it around for awhile and I thought I knew where it was (under a shelf) but it wasn't there. Should I just put its food bowl in the middle of the room and wait for it? Or should I not stop searching until I find it?

  1. the first time i brought my gerbil home he jumped out of the cage and i was chasing him around my room. I held out food and he eventually came up to me and ate it. That's when i grabbed him.

  2. keep looking, turn your house upside down, hamsters end up in the weirdest places.

  3. Put food around the house for him or her. She or he might get hungry.

  4. A good trick is put a bucket with a towel at the bottom (for cushioning) then put like a ramp up to the bucket.  Also put some water and a delicious treat, (see my question) and that should help. Also dwarf hamsters are supposed to be visual pets not holdable. Try a teddy bear hamster from PETCO NOT PETSMART!!!!!

  5. Just get another one, my friend lost her hamster and it ended up in the heating duct of the house, they didn't find it in time.

  6. go drink a bottle of Patron and you'll forget about him. I dont do that but i know it'll help.

  7. u should leave a bowl of food out and maybe some water. when it gets hungry, it will probably come out sooner or later.

    good luck find your hamster!!
