Im having alot of trouble deciding what path to take. Im a soph. in college, majoring in biology, and have a 3.8 gpa. I am on the pre-med track right now, but I am doubting myself. I can apply to nursing school right now and Im pretty sure will be able to get in without a problem. But, Im not a 100% sure I want to give up on medical school yet. Im willing to work hard, so thats not the problem. I just feel like Im not "smart enough," even though Im doing very well in all of my classes. HELP?! I think I will be happy doing either, but I obviously would rather be a doctor.

  1. If being a doctor will make you happy go for it.  Stop second guessing yourself and get to work

  2. Depend on your personality...

If you don't like the pressure to have to make life-death decisions sometimes, then docs' not for you.  If you like listening to others and simply follow orders while providing more care than just the basic, then nursing's for you.

Most importantly, Do you enjoy one over the other more?

remember, as a new doctor, there will be a lot of night shifts and grave yard duties for you... so your life in the first couple years might not be "normal"  9 to 5....

    good luck
