So I'm a runner for 3 years now and I have a dilemma after finishing second in Lithuania national championship.

The winner is training hardly (but unhealthy... too much for 16-year old) and I'm not able to catch him anymore...

My couch doesn't want to train me too hard because of healthynesss...

But I'm training professionally everydday so should I care about my health? If I'm training prof so I'm seeking first and looking forward to Europian and World championships... If I'm looking to my health, I can't win...

I don't know what to do???

Should I train hard and unhealthy, try to win ,participate in Euro and World champs, or should I train healthy but don't be a winner...

I hope you understood me... Sorry for alogical sentences, words ...

  1. Maybe you could find a happy medium? A little more than you do now, but not as hard as the other person?

  2. I think in the long run you will be better off training healthier.  You should consider how the "unhealthy" training will affect you later on in life, and if that cost is worth it to have a better chance of winning. It also depends on what you mean by unhealthy training.

  3. hmmm try training hard, HEALTHy, and also be a WINNER
