Every night at 12 or 1:00 am they start talking loud and I am trying to sleep it lasts almost until 6:00 am my room is right next to it and I don't know if I should tell management or not unless there is something I can do to soundproof my room. If anyone can help let me know I heard about covering the wall with a mattress top, but I am not sure about it.

  2. Firstly can I just say you have every right to get a decent night sleep without being kept awake by inconsiderate neighbors. My neighbor bought a dog a while ago and it used to bark all night. I tried different methods but one day it just stopped. I think other neighbors got fed up and called the cops on them.

So it depends how loudly it is. If it's only distracting, then get some earplugs from the chemist. Or buy a fan/heater and turn it on. I personally find a constant humming noise drowns out people's voices and occasional laughter.

If it's louder than that, and if they seem like reasonable people then get up and tell them. See if your other neighbors have the same problem. They can't be expected to realize how much they're disturbing you if you don't say anything. And if they're outright punks that don't give a d**n then round up some other neighbors and take turns calling the cops every night. Strength of an argument comes in numbers. If the cops don't do much like the ones around here and they're not reasonable people then you might have to play by their rules. If they keep you up until 6am, then you keep them up when it's their turn to have some shut eye. With some people you just have to get them to experience what you're personally going through for them to understand.. but let's hope it doesn't need to go this far :)

  3. We were having the same problem but they were partying outside in a parking lot. Speaking to them did not work, neither did calling the police. They wouldn't get out of their cars. We finally went to management and they took care of the problem. Told them it was the first and final warning, next step was eviction. Of course that was not the only problem everyone was having with these people.

Let management know as you deserve a good nights sleep. If that doesn't work then call the police and hope they do better than the ones in our ares.

  4. call the cops

  5. ask them if they can bring down the noise level, and if they dont try or dont even bring it down, i suggest call the police.
