  1. To the first answer, how is fish not meat? It's an animal and it's still living.  Vegetarians do not eat meat. If you eat fish, you're a meat eater. No argument there.

  2. Fish bleed when you cut into them. They get filleted alive most of the time. Sometimes they get their heads cut off first, but they are still alive then too. At least a cow gets killed right away.

They come from eggs not bushes.

They are meat, but some folks keep telling themselves they are not.

  3. If you eat fish, you aren't a vegetarian. Period.

  4. Vegetarians do not eat fish.

  5. typically a vegetarian does not eat fish, but many many do... it's up to you where you want to draw the line... especially in the case that you are eating locally harvested fish that are not being commercially gathered.  it's up to you, if you feel uncomfortable eating it than don't.... if it' doesn't bother you and you feel it's humane and okay to do than keep doing it and don't let other people push you.  just clarify when you go out places that you are a vegetarian, but you eat fish still (or pescetarian if you want to be technical).

  6. I don't think so. I have a cousin who is a vegetarian and he eats no meat except fish and he had the same concern but he asked his doctor and his doctor said it wouldn't be harnful or bad for you if you eat fish from polluted water. It just depends on how polluted. I hope this helps

  7. if you eat fish, you wouldnt be vegetarian

    that is pescatarian

  8. If you want to eat your grandfather's fish, eat it. No one is going to care.

If you want to be a vegetarian, don't eat it.

    Vegetarians do not eat animals.

    Fish are animals.

There isn't a type of vegetarian that eats fish or seafood.

  9. True vegetarians don't eat ANY meat.  Been there done that....I like meat WAY too much!

It seems all our waterways and oceans are polluted.  While I don't like fish or seafood, the chance of you getting sick is very slim.

  10. to me it would be because its swimming in polluted water. therefor making the fish polluted.

  11. many people say fish is not meat but I as one my self I don't eat it because I say it is still an animal and just because it is not red meat.  I would say you should not eat it because 1) you are a vegetarian 2)  would you like it if you where killed and then eaten?

  12. if your a vegetarian you are still able to eat fish because it is an alternitive its not meat try to clean the fish out and clean it out really well it wont be full of dieases

  13. Just dont eat them! I'm a vegetarian that doesn't eat any animal including fish and I have plenty to eat.

    Just dont eat the fish.

  14. You can't be a vegetarian and eat fish.  A vegetarian means not eating flesh - including the flesh of fish.

And the stuff in fish from the ocean is pretty d**n harmful to you.  http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/InNews/tox...

  15. It depends. Me,I'm not comfortable with eating ANY animal. If you're doing it for your health, then that is for you to decide, but if you're doing for the animals, you might want to take some things into consideration. Goto www.fishinghurts.com,alot of people stop eatting fish (if they're vegetarian for the animals) after learning the horrors in the ways they are caught and killed.

  16. You're not a vegetarian if you eat fish.  Unless you plucked the fish from a tree.

  17. Do you think a vegetarian would eat fish. Vegetarians don't eat any animals. Don't eat the fish.
