What should I do about my eye hurting?

My left eye really hurts and now it starting 2 feel like a headache. I know i should go 2 the eye doctor but what should i do until then? It hurts a LOT AND IS REALLY IRRITATING. PLEASE HELP!!!!

if its just one eye you should really go see an eyedoc asap...if it was both Id say maybe you have allergies or youre sleeping in your contacts/contacts over use, but if its one eye its usually signifying  something thats needs to be checked out

if your eyes are tearing, red, discharging, youre seeing double, blurry, or loss of vision, lotsa floaters suddenly, go to the eyedoc NOW!

If you wear contacts, TAKE THEM OUT. Don't try to put them back inside, even if you clean it.

If you don't, it could be infected. You should go to the doctor immediately to get eyedrops to treat it. It could be that there's just an eyelash or dirt in your eye, which could hurt more than you think, so wash it out with clean water.  If you have allergy eyedrops, that would be helpful too.
