Today during football practice I tackled a kid the wrong way and injured mt fingers. The worst finger was the middle the nail is cut in the middle and was bleeding for a while. Now its a few hours later and it is hurting. The nail on the middle finger is so disgusting looking and is still attached to the nail. They said to leave it for a few weeks when the nail is less sensitive. The nail is all brown and black what should I do. It kills!

  1. It does hurt, I'd just go ahead and take aspirin for the pain, not much else you can do. I would leave the nail on, at this time trying to force it off will hurt MUCH more. It will eventually fall off, so I'd just let nature take it's course.

  2. Put ice on it and wait. It'll probably fall off.

  3. Obviously you have hurt it quite bad, be gentle with it, if your nail is black and brown its bruised and nothing can heal that but time.

if the nail has a crack in it or is lose and might fall off, you should try to file the nail down or cut it so theres no crack.. a crack will only get bigger and can catch on clothing or anything really, then could rip off.

if its lose leave a bandaid on it for awhile so the nail will not completley come away, or file the nail down as much as you can (once its not sore anymore) and then it wont be as loose

  4. ewwwwwwww go check it out...like your family doctor or something

       super special awesome

  5. soak it in epsom salt as long as there is no open wound (you can get it at any drug store) and then ice it on for 20 min then off for 10 and keep doing this as long as you can, other then that try to leave it alone, maybe wrap it so you don't hit it, best would be to splint it, again get one at your local drug store.

  6. Okay first of all, DO NOT spend hundreds of dollars just to see a doctor. He will tell you the same thing that most of us are telling you: Ice it, cover it with a bandage, leave it alone. The nail will probably fall off and it won't be a big deal. If it hurts, take some Tylenol or something. If it doesn't heal up within the next few weeks, THEN you should see a doctor. Hope I help (:

  7. go to a doctor and ask for a priscrition you dont want anything to get infected .. dont take any risk the doctor might suggest a type or creme or something... i hoped this helped .

  8. i guess take some pain meds. the nail will probably eventually fall off. just keep a band aid on it lightly. some ice would probably help too.sorry for ya. GOOD LUCK!!!

  9. go to the doctors, you don't want it to get infected

  10. leave it for a few weeks when the nail is less sensitive.

  11. cut your finger off ha jk go to the doctors
