What should I do about my pumpkin?

Last year I carved a pumpkin and threw the seeds in the grass thinking the birds would eat them. Well it started a pumpkin patch frowning. I have one big orange one and three little green ones. The orange one looks ready tp pick but I don't know if it's too early. It's almost 2 months till Halloween. If I pick it and put it in my garage will it stay good till october? Im gonna use it as a jack-o lantern. Thanks in advance.

if u dont need it yet leave it til nearer the time then pick it

A pumpkin will last at least 60 days if kept in a cool place out of direct sunlight.The orange pumpkin will grow through september and you could wait until the end of the month to harvest it.

That is awesome!  Mother Nature at work!  It won't hurt the pumpkin to wait until closer to Halloween to be picked.  Happy Halloween :)
