Been feeding a stray cat since I moved it 4 months ago. This cat has always been friendly towards me. Today she ran into my house and I made her leave because I can't have pets in my apartment (My landlord sucks) People in the area told me that she has been here for two years. Can someone tell me why she keeps coming in and what should I do.

  1. you feed her. what part do you not understand?

cats are domesticated, they want to sleep in your lap, not under your car.

find it a home, it wants one very badly, it would love to have a human as a pet. she is not able to train you.

  2. feed her

  3. Rules are made to be broken, If the cat is harmless and you have no problems with it coming to your house and hanging out with you for a bit or overnight then it should not be a problem. Everyone in your complex has seen the Cat and know that it is a stray and dose not belong to anyone person. What you are doing is a good deed and you will be rewarded for the good deeds.

  4. She keeps coming in because you are providing her food. You should keep feeding her though. If you know someone that can and wants to have a cat maybe you could see if they will take her in. If you ever think she is in danger of getting hit by a car or you stop feeding her and see she is getting skinny, you could take her to a shelter or rescue.

  5. Find a loving home for her where pets are aloud.

  6. What would you do if you were homeless, and someone offered you food and suddenly you noticed an open door to a room where the air was cool in the summer time, and warm in the winter and there were cuddly rugs and cushions to lay on.  Wouldn't you try to duck inside?

If you can't find a relative to take care of her, and give her a forever home, why not talk to friends and others that you know that might be interested in adopting this cat.

Many elderly make good pet owners.  Do you know any senior citizens that might benefit just as much from the love of a needy pet?
