I just moved into a new apt & the carpets have this ammonia smell they came to deoderize it but it still smells. I have tried sprinkling the carpet powder and vaccuming it, febreze, oust, and nothing is working. What else should I do and can I demand the carpets be replaced?

  1. Hire a commercial carpet cleaner. Regards. UK

  2. Sounds like someone left wet diapers on the carpet....maybe you can sprinkle them with baking soda and let it sit for an hour or so before vacuuming it up.  Works better than commercial carpet powder and won't set off allergies.
