Question:

What should I do about the repressed anger inside ?

There's people who make me mad all the time, and I just shut up... I can't show any feelings because I'm just not used to showing feelings. I'm starting to lose weight, not eating, and my head hurts... I don't know what to do.. I don't know how to confront everyone... how should I get rid of this anger inside, without confronting anyone?

  1. Ellie Ransome is right. For now it is a good idea if you just leave people do their thing. Concentrate on taking care of yourself, losing the weight you need to lose, study and have fun too.

    After, you have to figure out if you are angry with them or angry with yourself because you do not speak up your mind? People have the right to say whatever they want, if they do it in a polite and objective way (they don't have the right to offend others, though - but some do offend others anyways).

    If you want to speak up your mind you have to believe you have rights: the right to your own opinion and to your emotions. You don't need to give an answer about something right way. You can always come back later and tell the person what you think. With practice asserting yourself will become easier and easier. And sometimes you'll have to confront somebody. But you'll do it when you are ready.  : )


  2. You should get away from the people who make you mad for a while.

    Think about yourself before you think about everyone else.

    Cos you are the most important thing to your self.

  3. You need JESUS! My answer: " Pray and ask God to remove the anger that is within you, aparently something or someone has ticked you off and your repressing that anger rather than forgiving it.

  4. Take a break for it all for awhile hun. =)

    Take up boxing! Its a GREAT way to relieve stress and anger. Do yoga.

    Go on a mini vacation for yourself, just a tiny rode trip. Some place relaxing.

  5. First off, RUN.  or jog.  Both will relax you.  

    Second, metal always helps me release my anger in a non violent way when im alone.  and i dont mean "metal" like KoRn. (not that there bad theyre just not good for releasing anger).  Im talkin about stuff like In Flames or All That Remains.

    Third, learn patience and open up your mind(excuse that phrase).

    Instead of just constantly think about what these people do to you, which will make you even angrier, learn good comebacks/yo momna jokes if theyre verbally harrassing you.  Watching the look of anger, frustration and defeat on their face will turn you from angry to extremely satisfied with your sweet revenge.  If theyre doing something else to bother you, like backstab you, observe how they act, capture their attitude, and do what they did to you to them.  See how it makes them feel.  And if they ask why youre being such a d*ck, tell them not to be a hypocrite and remind them they did the same to you.  This should make em back off.

    P.S. ...And do they care what you think, or do they freely express their emotions without regard for what you think?  Most likely they dont.  Therefore, do not give them what they would not give you.  If they can act themselves, why cant you?  And confronting people is not a bad thing, as long as it is non-violent.

  6. I used to feel exactly the same... You have to understand that letting go of anger is the best gift you can give yourself because by being angry you are only hurting yourself... Smash something old that you don't really want... or take boxing classes... allow yourself to cry whenever you feel like it... Forgive those who make you mad so that YOU could find peace within... Sit on a quite shore and talk to the ocean... Meditate and imagine the anger like a poison that oozes out of your body with each breath... setting you free... it really helps... I always come back a new person after crying my heart out on a quite shore where nobody could watch... its liberating... Good Luck... :)
