What should I do about these psychic mer-pires?

I have a generous infestation of psychic merpires in my pool.

for the most part they only slightly irritate me by nibbling my feet while I swim, and controling my thoughts.

I have tryed using more chlorine but this doesnt seem to kill them off.

there are far too many of them for me to smash each one individually, like a colony of ants they just seem to keep producing. sprouting up every where and at the most inoportune times. does anyone khow what chemical I could use to destroy these pesky little buggers?

From what I understand, you need arsenic. However the fact that they are psychic may present a problem in treating them efficiently so I'd suggest an armoured suit or suchlike when thinking about dosing the water.
