What should I do and expect for my first day? for my freshman year ?

I am currently going into 9th grade, and I don't know what to expect. I am definitely nervous. What should I do? Here's somethings to go by I'm normally a shy typical girl. I hear there is a lot of kids that attend at the High School I'm starting at this September.

So how can a shy going girl, fit in? any tips?

You should get some rest and sleep the night before and eat a healthy breakfast in the morning to keep you fit and alert.

Don't be nervous... There will be nice people who can help you out. If you have your school's campus map, that would really help!

Since there is a large population, you'll meet many people. Use your time wisely to find good friends! When find someone, just introduce yourself and say hi. Make the conversation seem interesting by complimenting something unique or cool about that person. Or ask the person what do they think of the school or the sports?

It's normal to be shy your first few days in a new school with many new faces, I was like you in 9th grade (I'm a junior, 11th grade, now). But I assure you once you warm up to your classmates things will become very natural for you. Just talk and share interests etc. You never know who will be sitting next to you or in the same room with so many things in common with you ^^. Good luck!

try to join clubs or sports teams.  You always meet new fun people there, plus it's guaranteed that you'll have something in common with them.

don't be nervous! high school is so fun!

oh and try to talk to everyone in class, try being a little more outgoing; then people will notice you more, and you'll get more and more friends
