It feels weird not preparing for my next lesson during the week like I do for my piano and vocal lessons. So, anything I can do?

  1. Riding a horse there isnt much you can do at home to get ready for it if you dont have a horse.

i usually dont do anything between my lessons.

but what you can do is strengthen you leg!

if you have stairs in your house

stand on the bottom step with feet half on the step half off

and strech your heels down and push urself up and down

this will work out your lower leg

    or just do leg excerises.

    hoped this helped =D

    peacee out

    good luck

  2. Just stay in shape.  For the most part, you should keep your whole body in shape, but you do need a good pair of legs.  Is there a gym you can go to or a trainer experienced with riders you can talk to for some instruction? The best place I can think of to get information like that is right from your riding instructor.

  3. 1)why is this in horse racing?

    2) Not a lot actually. Just stay in shape. Stretch once in awhile. Maybe go to the gym(i swear, you won't be the only highschooler there!).

Your right though, it's kinda weird not being able to prepare for the next lesson. Be glad you've got a solid weekly though! my instructor keeps missing lessons cuz of the weather(its windy where she is)

  4. What you can do is study up on your horse skills and learn more about them.

Also, running and doing exercises will help keep you in shape for your riding, which you definantly need to be in.
