I am 19 and live in Washington, USA. I have finished my AA degree and am not interested in finishing school here. I have been researching studying abroad in Australia or New Zealand. So far, New Zealand seems to sound like the better pick. For those who have been to either country, or studied abroad, where would you go? I have no clue what to major in or what to do for a future career. I like traveling, meeting new people (I am very social), being in nice weather, doing extreme sports, being the center of attention, lifting weights, and just goofing around. I would hate working w/ food, or sitting in an office all day. I am hardworking and have good grades. I am very self-motivated. What are interesting topics to major in? I have even considered things like being a physical education teacher, opening a gym, being a pilot, or doing something with animals. If I could be in nice weather and have fun and get to be myself that would be perfect. I have taken many career tests and am daring.

  1. Be an armored cav scout. You did say you were daring...put it to the test.

    Scouts out.

  2. I would suggest doing some travelling first if you are not sure what you want to study, or whether you want to study at all. Travelling and seeing the world might give you a better perspective on who you are and what it is that you want to do.

I am Australian and have been to NZ also. You will love both countries; they are both unique. The snow in NZ is just awesome, and the landscape is just unlike anywhere else in the world! I love Australia because of its diversity and varying climate - we have some great snow, awesome white beaches, tranquil rainforests and the beautiful red-centre.

  3. physical therapists are in demand everywhere, at least in the US...it pays well (40-50 dollars an hour)   and there are lots of different venues....

hospitals, schools, nursing homes, private, it's related to the sports and weights.  I'm not sure what education you have to have...master's I think, but it would be easy to be an independent contractor and work when and where you want.
