  1. ok trust me i'm going to be a junior this year and i already took the SATs back in june of my sophmore year and i got a pretty good score all i did was went to my guidence office and got a pratice book and then i went onto collegeboard.com and signed up and then everyday it emails me a pratice question trust me it helped a lot it was simple and cost me nothin if you want something to buy go to your local book store and buy a book that has serveral pratice tests trust me its really easy don't stress over it they say people who get a good nights sleep before a test do better than those who studied all night just don't stress over it its easy i took it only thing bad about it was the fact that it took so long there are also free online websites that help you prepare and also remember for the essay quality not quantity and they want you to apply personal expierences good luck and wish me luck too i'm aim'ing for high 600s low 700s in the spring (i got mid 500s in june which is good for anyone really)

btw PSATs are NOTHING like the SATs trust me everyone i know who took them will say the same

  2. the psat is good practice for the sat, but if you have the money, buy the the official sat study guide. it has like 8 full tests with answers and explainations for the answers as well as tips for every type of question and the essay. i didnt really look at mine until like three days before the sat but i wish i did earlier because it was full of information. you can still do good without buying the book though. you can go on to collegeboard.com to and sign up to get a free sat question sent to you every day by email to keep your mind fresh and sat ready. i still got a 1940 with little studying but i could have done better. i know people who have spent hundreds of dollars on the sat course and only gotten a few more points than me on the test so in my point of view the course isnt worth the money they charge for it. so if you can then just buy the study guide when you sign up for the sat online, it still costs a good amount of money but far less than the courses. also visit websites where people who have already taken the sat give advice. just google sat help or whatever.

Also, make sure you eat a good breakfast cuz the testing will take like 6 hours and you only get 3 five or ten minute breaks and by the time you get to the end your brain will be worn out. It doesnt matter if you stay up late studying or go to bed early the night before the test anyway bc you probably wont get much sleep anyway.

Best of Luck on test day

  3. Well, if you were well-prepared for the PSAT, then you've already done two-thirds of studying for the SAT. PSAT consisted of: algebra 1, geometry, reading comp., and grammar Now, all you have to study for is algebra 2 material and writing essays. If you can't afford a class, just purchase or borrow SAT practice booklets (and I mean the THICK ones) and practice off of those.

If you want to learn SAT tactics and see some practice Q's, go to:

hope this helps! and good luck.

  4. For the SAT try http://www.prepsage.com/

The website has many questions, thorough explanations, and thousands of SAT Vocabulary words.
