I was born in the Bahamas in 1984, but the independence law of 1973, was pass stating if you were born by non-Bahamian parents you are not a Citizen of the that Country. In 1997 I legally traveled to the US and lived there. And now I have no Idea how to get a passport or green card. What should I do?

  1. find some deserted island with no inhabitants. Declare the name of the country you want it to be called, declare yourslef king or president of the country and give yourself a  passport,

  2. Get a citizenship somewhere.

Or you can just go the United States again, heck our government doesn't seem to care about people coming in illegally

  3. Well, welcome to America! I'd love for you to pick us for your citizenship choice. ( Although I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to live the Bahamas!!) lol Please, go to an immigration office and find out how to do it right. Get a social security card and be official. Good Luck!

  4. you omitted to tell your parent's citizenship ? are they the US citizen ? are they in the US ?

you enter the US on what sort of visa or Passport ?

you said you traveled to the US legally ? how ? and with what identification ?

do come back if you will , and tell me about your parents ? where are they originally from?

  5. Your passport should state what kind of nationality you have. You should be able to use that to see what kind of citizen you are.

  6. While stateless persons were more common before the 20th century, when many states were somewhat fragile entities, on September 20, 1954 the United Nations adopted the Convention relating to the Status of Stateless Persons: an active policy to prevent people becoming or remaining stateless. States which have ratified the Convention are bound to give stateless persons rights similar to those granted aliens of comparable status. Despite this, there are still Kashmiri, Kurdish, Palestinian and Sahrawi refugees who claim asylum due to statelessness, for example.
