Hard hitting tennis player who plays matches frequently. Right arm muscle hurts during play and serving has become more difficult. The pain comes from the muscle above the elbow. Played singles and doubles yesterday and today I cannot serve or hit a forehand. What should I do besides lay off of tennis for a few days?

  1. see a doctor

  2. Ice it heat it then if it still hurts see a doctor

  3. tie your arm to a string then tie the string to the door handle.

slam the door and pull off your arm, the pain should stop immediatley

  4. I just had the same thing. First, try to use that arm as little as possible for every day things, esp mouse action on the comp.

I used those heat pads that cost like 8 bux! But, they work amazingly well. I think they're called Therma Heat or someth similar. The next day my arm was pretty fine, and one more day of it, and it felt perfect. Also take Ibuprofen to shrink any swelling during the game. AND sports creme unscented.

I also recently put a bengay pad on my calf muscle bec I forgot to stretch it and I've been playing about 3+ hours a day and with not stretching it does start to hurt. It stinks but it works. I put it on over night.

  5. You probably tore your bicep or tricep or possibly your deltoid. You should stop until it completely heals and make sure you stretch it daily. Muscle injuries can reoccur or become worse if you dont treat them correctly the first time around.

  6. Well take stop and ask your coach or doctor for advice

  7. go see a doctor.

    it could be serious.

  8. its possible it's just these cramps you get after playing

to be sure, see a doctor

  9. Trouble with rest with this type of injury, you don't know how long. Probably cause you don't know what's causing it. It may be a strain or it may be a tear.  Recommend that you at least see a physiotherapist.

  10. Soak it in a bath.

  11. Sounds like either Frozen Shoulder or Tennis Elbow. Seek medical advice and perhaps take a couple of painkillers. Hope you recover soon!

  12. rest it for a few days in a row. Sports creams help. All that stuff helps. Ask your pharmacist for recommendations.

  13. Ice it and Place some Oinment on the Muscle. Massage it and If you can Take some Pain killers For your Muscle.

  14. use a little bengay and then lie on the bed for SRAIGHT for a couple as in 5 to 10 minutes
