What should I do if I quit my job b/c I was hired for a better one but now they call me...??

so I quit my job because I was hired for this new job...and they call me today(the day I was supposed to start) to tell me there was a change of plan and they don't need a translator anymore....i don't know if I should try to go to my old job(I'm kinda embarrassed to and I know they already hired someone.....ADVICE ANYONE PLEASE!!!!

Sounds like you need to find another job.  You could maybe go back to your other job.  Some places make it a point not to rehire people who have quit.  Whatever you do is don't take a job from the new place ever again.  It sounds like they have no idea what they are doing.  So you might want to suck it up and ask for your old job back or explore other options.
