Question:

What should I do if my CYL. Value is -2?

I was looking for diposables contact lenses but I could not find the ones that fit with my requirements.

Somebody knows any branch?

Is it risky to buy either -1.75 or -2.25 instead of -2?

Thanks in advance!!

  1. it is fine to go with a slightly different power, -1.75 would probably be best.  Good luck!

  2. Your Rx as supplied should specify a brand and a fit.

It is absolutely not right to guess.  You are likely to be wrong on the cyl axis, which is often different in the spectacle and contact lens Rx's, apart from the power.

With contacts it is NOT like deciding on the frames after getting the lens Rx.  A different brand can be a different fit.  And the Rx on the spectacles is unlikely to be exactly the same as the one for the contacts.

  3. Your fitter will decide and provide you with a written prescription.

You can't just order contacts from your glasses prescription.
