  1. It depends on how old the child is.

If he doesn't understand what he is seeing, and/or doesn't understand that it's bad, it would be a bit unfair to punish him.

Follow the advice of these other people, and talk to him about it..explain that it's not realistic, ect.

If he keeps watching it AFTER you talk to him, THEN punish him.

Check the history and all that to make sure, but don't go so far as to block him from the Internet entirely.

If he was just being curious, then that's no reason to punish him.

  2. Move the computer to a public room (kitchen, living room)

Install a 3rd party content filtering program (Netnanny or Cyberwatch)

    - keep the password secret.

Limit the hours he can be on the internet.

Install a secret reporting program which emails you his computer

    usage

    - Requires a password to alter settings. Keep this private.

    - X3 Watch

    - Cyberroam

Install a web browser shutdown program.

    Naomi

    - If inappropriate content is found it shuts down the browser.

    - Requires a password to alter settings. Keep this private.

  3. well i am only 13

    and my brother is 17

and the same thing happened to my parents except my brother was 15 when he did it

so what my parents did was put a password on the computer and on the tv

and than they grounded him and he got a "talk"

  4. How old is the child?

Block websites or if its super bad block them off the computer in general

    or confront the problem

  5. You can always talk to them about it, but that would be a very awkward conversation.

  6. Not sure how old this kid is... BUT if you haven't already had the "TALK" looks like it's time!  Most cable companies having parental controls.. but as for movies, magazines..... obviously gets its from somewhere!  Make sure that the child isn't hanging around the bad crowd!

  7. let em.

    atleast they're not posting it...

  8. dont talk 2 him its so awkward let him be im 15 and watch p**n

    its natural

  9. Cut the cord off the computer or television.

  10. take it away

disconnect the dvd, computer, tv, when you are not around

  11. let him do it.

    they are growning kids

adn they need to know about it

  12. talk to him.

    and punish him!

  13. put a block on thhose channels and sit them down and explain to them that thats for big people and they can not watch those things but why would they be watching p**n where do you think they get it from and where every they get it from dont allow them to be in that inviroment

  14. rethink their internet access!

  15. explain to them that s*x is a beautiful thing, but not when people watch it to get something out of it. if they have already saw it, theres no hiding it now.

  16. In my opinion, you can't stop your child in watching porno. Children are very curious nowadays and s*x is a topic that most children are interested in.

You could just tell them how valuable s*x is and it's not merely just pleasure.

  17. HIGHER YOUR SECURITY AND ANTI VIRUSE TO BLOCK p**n WEBSITES ALSO THERE ARE A COUPLE OF PROGRAMS THAT WONT LET OTHERS TO WATCH p**n UNLESS THEY KNOW THE PASSWORD SUCH AS p**n FILTER, NET NANNY http://www.netnanny.com/promotions/netna...

    OR MP SOFTWARE  http://www.mpinfo.net/products/mp_bp/mp_...

  18. how old is he/she? give him/her the talk and be glad they're only watching it not performing the acts seen...it's perfectly normal to me

  19. join in...

Well it depends how old, less than 16 give them a stern talking to tell them that this is not real, this is not how real relationships work. Possible punish him with something like limited access to the computer. If 16+, they know what they are doing, just punish him

  20. Have a talk with that child. Curiosity is normal but it needs to be explained to them that porno is prepackaged s*x sold for entertainment- it is usually not real. A man or woman should not expect the things they see in p**n, because normal relationships and s*x is much much different. A talk about respect towards women and men needs to be done too. I would only ban it if my child were using my computer to download it because I do not want my computer contaminated by viruses and spyware that is often found in downloading p**n. I would ask that it be watched during hours where others are sleeping, but not disturbing anyone and I would ask that it be done in private. It is most likely a tool for masturbation and there is nothing wrong with that either. By the time this would be an issue, my children will know many things about s*x and i will still maintain my "open" policy when it comes to telling me things about s*x or asking questions about s*x.

  21. get rid of the internet and cable check thier room for evidence mags and such you should not have a problem and also limit thier interaction with friends as well. tehy sholuld not be allowed period to watch it.

  22. Getting rid of the computer, cutting the cord off the computer etc is not going to fix the problem. You'll just be closing the barn door after the cow is already out. What you need to do is talk to your child. Find out what kind of p**n they are watching. You can learn about your child that way. If your child is watching g*y/lez p**n, s&m p**n, transgender p**n...these can all tell you about your child. Once you find out if there is a particular direction your kid is steering toward you can aim your talk in that direction. If there is no particular type of p**n they show interest in then it's probably just general curiosity and that helps too. You need to find out if your child understands what they are looking at and what it means, then do some explaining and give them an opportunity to ask questions. If you are frank with your child you will get a much better response then if you just start yelling and take away the computer. Just don't go overboard and drag the poor kid to a child psychologist where he has to talk about his deepest secrets with someone he's never met and doesn't trust not to tell his parents everything they talk about. Good luck.

  23. watch it with him. make him feel so uncomfortable that he will eventually stop

  24. Take the computer or tv or whatever away!

  25. How old? Sexual curiosity is normal, treating the kid like a felon because theyre interested in s*x is ridiculous and will confuse them and cause them to believe that s*x is wicked or evil. You should explain that their curiosity is normal and if they have questions they should ask them, youve been given an opportunity to have a frank adult discussion with your child dont blow it by punishing them and acting like a Puritanical minister.  How many of us watched porno when we were kids probably most of us and we turned out OK.

  26. tell them not to do it and ground them for 5 months, break the porno to shreds
