  1. Get a DNA test using his mother or father. That should show that your baby is related to them.

  2. I agree with Bubbles

  3. If he is dead, you will need social services.  there is no way you can prove your daughter was his unless you go through DNA testing with his other family members and that is time consuming and costly.  If he was some rich guy with boatloads of money, it might be worth it but if not, whats the point?  Is he listed on the birth certificate as the father?  The guy does not have to sign the certificate, you just fill out the paper work and give that information. Lots of kids are born after the father passes away, especially military fathers. Your first order of business is the social programs in your state and city.  WIC and foodstamps to keep your self and baby fed, Social services for other things and guidance.  Good luck and get right on this as all the social services stuff takes time and tons of paper work.

Also, if your relationship with the father was a good one you might ask his family for help.  If that is not an option, social services it is.

  4. Talk to his mother and father or other siblings and see about getting a DNA test through them to prove he is the natural father then you can file a petition to get him on the b/c.

    Good luck!
