  1. shopping at chinook mall

  2. My favourite things in Calgary are the Calgary Zoo and visiting Heritage Park -- not sure if you're into those sorts of things, so they are just suggestions.

Don't forget to stop in Banff on the way to Lake Louise.

  3. Shucks! You missed the Calgary Stampede!

And you will miss the Canadian Football League game between Calgary and Hamilton on Thursday night!

Not much else to do in Calgary unless you like zoos.   Calgary Zoo.

  4. Howdy partner, raised in Texas myself, I can understand where you're coming from (literally :-).

L.Louise is a good start. If you have kids, the Telus world of Science is an awesome place; so are the Butterfield acres.

  5. not to much to see in calgary unless as a Texan your in too oil company syyscrapers!  I would elect to spend the extra time in the montains and the park.   Just travelling and visting Lake Louise will chew up most of your time (assuming your in/out point is Calgary).  Lake Louise is about two 1/2  hour leisurely drive from Calgary and if looking for more to do while there,  see:

.  You should visit the Banff town site too which you will pass by en route to Lake Louise.  In Banff the gondola ride up Sulpher Mountain is pretty nice.  Banff is worth a day.

Bring your camera as the views everywhere are stupendous.

Have a great trip and watch for wildlife (elk, moose, mountain sheep etc) when driving early morning, early evening or nite.,    theres lots of them in the park
