What should I do in order to do good on the PSAT?

Going into Sophmore year

Which is the best book to buy? Prep classes (best ones)?

Planning to tkae SAT in spring (can i do that?), also take a sat prep class next summer, and PSAT again next fall.

Any other advice?

Tutorfox is the best book to buy. The best prep class is princeton review. You can take the SAT in May or June for spring.

The best prep course/book depends on the kind of person you are:

If you're quite self-motivated, a book would be best and you can do a few sections/essays every day.

If you're like me and need a real person encouraging you to do work and try your best, a tutor or class might be the best option.

For either option, I like PrincetonReview (and if you take a class/get a tutor, they give you allll the books you'll need, although it's quite expensive).

You can take the SAT as many times as you want, but you can only take the PSAT once a year at its scheduled time.

I suggest doing your major studying before Junior year, during the summer, and then taking an SAT early in the year (November or so) when the information is fresh in your mind. Then you can be done with it early!
