What should I do/make with my 6ft by 4ft thick sheet of Styrofoam?

Well, that will certainly be hard to pull out of  your, "Barney Bag"! I guess if you are realy excited about this rare piece of styrofoam and can't just throw it away...Hummm! I guess I couldn't either. If I were 17 again, I would buy a matress cover or duck tape garbage bags over the entire thing to keep it from getting ripped apart. Then I would save milk jugs with the covers all winter. Hopefully you could fill these with enough water or sand, leaving some air, and use them for ballast or wt. around the raft so people could get on it. When summer came It would be well worth the space it took up becouse I would get together with some friends and take it down a river like a raft. All my friends would be required to dress up like pirates and I'd force them to sing as we rafted, "We're the pirates who don't do anything..." (Knowing the rocks may rip it up a bit and being careful not to go during high water. Make sure all can swim and none are affected by chemical influences for safety.) That would be a trip. Plan it for a camping trip along the river and enjoy! It's fun to be absolute moromns when you are with friends. You can make them all wear stupid hats too. I have absolutely no idea if this would work but it certainly would be interesting to hear about.
