What should I do next to get into teaching in NYC??

I live in NYC and have a masters in Occupational Therapy but I want to get into teaching as I believe and have been told by my professors that I would be a good teacher. My strong subjects are English, biology & Hindi and I want to teach all or any of those subjects. What should I do to get into teaching?? Please help. Thanks.

umm that thing in college that gets you your teaching degree.

Check your state department of education website for a nontraditional liscensure program.  They often have ways for degree holding professionals to transition to a teaching career without returning to college.  You could also apply to substitute teach to get a feel for what areas and grades you feel most comfortable teaching.
