What should I do now ?

I am 19 n , india, my dad forced me to pursue grad in economics. recently I gave my yearly exams and it was aweful...i am not gonna pass...I love to study history but my dad says history has no future, i cant earn money except being a professor...I am very much worried...please someone suggest me if there is any really good prospect for a history grad...and if i can even pursue history grad leaving economics...please help

  1. You could always become a history teacher...


  2. Have you considered studying the history of economics? Some interesting stuff happened during the time of the Medici, I' sure there must be other interesting times in the life of economics - and you'd have an unparalleled insight, being trained in economics before you went looking.

    If you're not interested in professionships, you could write books, or documentaries or archaeological research into the economics of lost cities... or whatever you like, really.

    Why don't you go looking online to see what people are doing in history, and see if you like something that you see.

    If all else fails, you can support yourself financially with your economics, and study history at night-school (or Indian equivalent), until you have learned enough history to  make up your own mind what you want to do.
