What should I do on a 14 hour flight?

Im flying economy class on Emirates. Where are the best seats and this is my first time flying and I'm really excited. Can you guys tell me if its fun or scary and what to expect and stuff? lol thanxxxxxx

Do NOT get a middle seat!  An aisle seat is best, so you can get up when you want to.  www.seatguru.com will show you the good and bad seats for your exact airplane type.  Some are bad because of limited space underneath, others don't recline as well,  others are noisy because of crew quarters, bathrooms, or galleys.

As to what to do - in-flight movies are OK, but may not be what you want to watch.  It also depends if there is a personal screen for each seat, or just the overhead screen for all.  Taking a portable DVD player is always best, but the battery won't last for the whole flight, unless you have a car-type power plug at your seat and can plug the player in.

Take books, puzzle games (crossword, word find, etc.) to keep you busy.  An iPod player also helps, because you can have better music than the flight has built in.

The important thing to do is try to SLEEP for at least 4 hours.  Sleep when it would be night-time where you are going, so when you get there, you are more on their timezone schedule.

dont sit near the back or the toilet.you get all the rotten cookin smells from the food they serve on board and if you sit near toilet and want to sleep you get woken up with the door opening n closing all time n loo flushing anywhere else is fine  also back seats dont tilt so you find it hard to sleep.its a good flight tho and you can sleep some of the way.very exciting place to go to  you will be sure to enjoy it.take some cheap head phones to watch in flight films cos they are about a fiver each on board for same ones you can get cheaply at home

Emirates aircraft have an amazing entertainment system at every seat in economy class called I.C.E, and it has hundred's of movies, games, television shows and things to do. You can also see a virtual map of where the plane is, so there's no need for a dvd player. Don't get a middle seat, and if you can get an aisle or window. You'll have a great time as the I.C.E system won't let you be bored!

Oh wow. I love Emirates. Its not scary at all. Its fun. Especially at night they put beautiful lights and stars. You get good sleep. The best seats are in the middle , and its pretty comfortable . You will have a lot of room. You will like it. If your bored listen to music, stretch, watch TV, and sleep. Relax!
