I am applying a job in Asia. This guy went to the same college with me. We happened to know each other online. I told him, I am looking for employment in Asia. He told me, he has an open position for me. He waited for me 2 weeks for me to move to the country (my home country in Asia). We met for dinner for the first time. At first, I was not sure if he was serious about the position, but I just want to meet other college alumni for network anyway. Therefore, I went to dinner with him. We talked about the college life and people. We talked about the job a little bit. I gave him my resume. He wants to me to come to his office for a second interview to talk about salary and benefits.

What should I do on the interview? How likely is it for me to get a job?

Thank you for your advice

  1. Well it already seems that he wants you to have it quite abit. Otherwise he wouldnt really go through as much trouble as he did.

  2. Your second interview sounds promising.  Treat it like you would any other interview.  Dress professionally, do some basic reseach about the company, express your interest in the job and state why you think you would be a good fit.  Always be prepared to ask questions.
