They got angry when I brought up the subject that I put it online for sale. I don't really remember what my mom said, but my dad said "Like h**l" and I figured "Whatever, nobody will buy it anyways". Then today, I got an offer in my inbox saying he'd give me $250 for it. I sent him an email back saying I'd be happy to sell it to him if I could get past my parents. They went through a lot to get it for me last Christmas, and I really do appreciate what they did, but I need money for school now. My parents currently can't even afford to buy me new clothes, shoes, or even a backpack right now. I need the money to pay for this stuff. If I do tell them they will probably get mad and won't listen to anything I am trying to tell them (they are like that). If I don't, they will come home from work and see the Wii gone one day. How mad could they get? Ugh, help. I am 14 by the way...

  1. don't do it the wii is very hard to fine. if you want money just sell things you dont want, and plus animal crossing is coming out soon...your gonna want it

  2. So you are selling a gift your parents paid for, so who gets the money from the sale you or your parents, because if its a gift then that money isn't really yours.

The point is your parents bought you the wii as a gift, to turn around and sell it is kind of saying you are ungrateful for it, they probably had a hard time finding one and for you to just sell it as if it meant nothing, it seems really rude to me.

  3. Dude Im 13, and I was in the same situation. My parents had to wait outside of best buy, and couldn't pay the bills. This was how much they loved me. I think the best thing to do is, not to sell it, and just wait. Unless the money you need is really important, even without their permisson. I hope I helped

Add me as a friend if you want to talk more. =)

  4. 250 bucks is the same price of the Wii. It's not like any other console is cheaper besides Mr. PC, so you're kinda screwed if your parents can't pay for backpack/clothes/shoes.

  5. Dont sell your wii. Based on your description your parents went through a hard time to get that wii and then you want to sell it, No, Keep it and your parents will figure out a way to get you stuff for school. They support you, you dont need to support yourself. They gave you a wii so you can be happy, they dont want you to sell the wii so you can buy school things, as parents that is their job to support you with school clothes and other school materials.

Dont break your parents hearts' by selling your wii (because they went through alot) Don't sell it, keep it, and im sure your parents will get you school stuff.

  6. dont sell it, the wii is an awsome system. Besides y our parents worked so hard to get it. Do you know how impossible it was to get a wii? Also there are coming out tiwht the wii moition plus, look it up and you may change your mind. If you need money for school try to sll other things or mow lawns and stuff.
