Question:

What should I do to avoid getting depressed in the evening?

For a couple of days now I've felt really happy and excited during the day when it's sunny and warm outside, but then once it's about 4:30ish or darker outside, I get really depressed. I think it's hormones or something, but it's just so weird that such a small transition can affect me this much. Usually I'm really excited and outgoing, but right now I feel like putting a bag on my head.

:( What can I do to stop this from happening again? Thank you for helping. <3

 1. A great way to feel better is using incense. Frankincense (like one of the gifts that the three wise men give Jesus in the Bible manger story) is actually a great anti-depressant. It lifts your mood and just makes you feel calmer and more optimistic.

 2. Sezzy,(I almost typed "Sexxy",I'm sorry.)What you need is some friendly chat. Either that or what about a good book to read. I've heard a nice hot bath can be very soothing. What is happening is that you are feeling this way because as the sun goes down,It seems that the excitement leaves you. It's not weird at all. I used to get that way as well until I've found closure in this website. Do you have any movies at home? On DVD or VHS? Sometimes a good "feel good" movie always helps me get out of a rotten mood. If only I could drop you a line each night,I could cheer you up. Sezzy,This will pass,You just need to find something to do during the evening. Are you old enough to go out with friends? Plan to go out with some friends. Enjoy yourself. And if you just want to sit at home,I could always cheer you up by sending you a nice sweet message. My name is David and it's a pleasure to be writing to you. I hope I have helped in some way. And if not,I'd love to make it up to you. Have a goodnight and God bless. Bye for now.

 3. some kind of depression. this gets worse in wintertime (shorter days, less light) and can be treated with special lights, antidepressants, and therapy. be sure to get a real diagnosis as there are many types of depression and if you're bipolar, taking antidepressants can exacerbate the manic episodes. good luck.
