What should I do to prepare to apply for the Peace Corps?

I am a freshman in college. I'm seriously considering joining the peace corps when I graduate. What should I do in the meantime to boost my chances of being accepted into the peace corps? What should I do to prepare for the peace corps?

Learn another language...volunteer locally...join clubs at school...just be involved with the community in general.  They are highly selective and you need to have something that stands out about you for them to accept you.

Major (or minor) in something they want. TESL, for instance; Teaching English as a Second Language.
