What should I do to raise my math score on ACT?

I just took my ACT and made a composite 24.

28 English

20 Math

23 Reading

24 Science

Obviously, Math is pulling my composite down.

Even before the exam, I knew math was going to be my weakness due to other similar ACT scores. I went out and bought a ACT prep book by the Princeton Review. I studied the material and felt like I learned a lot. I took about 6 practice math exams and reviewed my answers when done. Then, I got my scores back and found out that my math score went down a point from the last ACT I took! Perhaps I should of bought the brand, "Barron's"?

What can I do to help me learn math!?!?!

Also, I have the choice of three math courses next year (senior year). Which should I take to help me with my ACT score?

Advanced Math

Pre-Calculus Honors

Algebra III

Please remember this is a two part question: What can I do to improve my Math ACT score AND which course should I take?

  1. The ACT tests pre-algebra, algebra I, algebra II, plane geometry, and INTRODUCTORY trigonometry and coordinate geometry. By the way the ACT only has a limited amount of topics in algebra I, algebra II, plane geometry, and introductory trigonometry and coordinate geometry.

    You MUST learn:

         1.Solving quadratic equations

2.Basic operations, fractions, decimals, percentage, ratio, proportion

    3.Solving equations and inequalities

4.Area, perimeter, geometry of angles, similarity, PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM, polygon properties, central and inscribed angles in circles.

    5. Operations on polynomials

    6.Factoring algebraic expressions

7.Solving right triangles using trigonometry and basic trigonometry idetities.

8.Slope, y-intercept, coordinate plane, equation of a line

    and more of coordinate geometry

    9. If you can, learn matrices and logarithms BUT only the most basic of these topics(By the way, matrices rarely appear. Same with logarithms.)

    10. STUDY functions( evaluating functions, composition of functions,etc...)

    Practice A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
