  1. Ask who they are calling for and then advise them that that person just passed away and you would appreciate it if your telephone number was removed from their list permanently.

  2. stop listening them............

  3. In all reality being a telemarketer is a hard and not very well respected job.I usually try to be polite and tell them that I am not interested. However,if they are pushy and rude then I just slam the phone down.

  4. First, you should register you telephone numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry. Go to: www.donotcall.gov

You can use this for your land line home phone and cell phones as well.

Then when you get a telemarketer, tell them they are violating the do not call registry law, and hang up.  For now, just say "not interested, goodbye" and hang up.  Don't talk to them, even if they say "no wait", just hang up.  They'll move on to the next number. Don't waste your time playing games with them, just hang up the phone.

  5. quickly shout out "go **** your mother" and hang up. or just hang up as soon as you know its them.

  6. I look at it this way. Those telemarketers were promised big money and big bonus money not realizing what they were really getting into. They are just sad enough to try to make a go at this job. It sucks and they know it.

I try to get them off the line as quickly and painlessly as possible.

I say "no thank you" and hang up the phone. Yet I know this isn't what you are looking for.

       Things to torment Telemarketers:

Carry on a conversation with someone else.

Say hold on a minute and set the phone down

Start yelling at someone else (not for real)

Tell them that you are having a really really really bad day and tell them all about it.

    Laugh hysterically

Ask them where you put your meds? d**n it, you know they know where they are.

  7. The correct way is to do what (child of God) said..........but..........if you feel a little annoyed with them then just lay the phone down and let them go through with their whole pitch and they will get the hint.  ;-)

  8. Don't pick up or hang up.

  9. the proper thing to do is tell them not to call you again and remove you from there calling list..the law says they have to.. be ferm with them? steve

  10. I think it depends on the mood I am in at the time or if I have had a few calls on the same day.

For example, a salesman called about conservatories so I allows him to go through the whole speech, I asked for prices & time scales then when he asked if I was interested, i said Yes, but how is it going to work since I live in a first floor flat.

Other times I just say thanks, but I'm not interested & hang up.

On another occassion, I asked him to hold on a second while I answered the door but switched on the radio by the receiver & let it play for ages.

  11. just say im not interested, remove me from your call list and hang up.

  12. i just tell them its not a good time! they would always ring and ask for me the home owner, id say she wasnt home!!

    good luck hehe :)
