What should I do with Johnny Cueto?

He's killing my ERA, but has some upside with his strikeouts... Should I drop him for someone with more win/ERA potential?

I'm in similar situations on other teams with guys like Jonathan Sanchez and Aaron Harang...

  1. Cueto should have been dropped in May.You answered your own question. He is killing your staff as a whole.Yes you should get a guy with better ERA and WHIP potential.Randy Wolf Astros looked great last week.If you really want to bring down your ERA and WHIP add a couple good closers. The key word is good.Get a couple closers with a low era and whip.Whip being the most important. No body ussually keys on WHIP.Closers bring down your ERA and WHip every day instead of once every 5 days.

  2. This is a double-edged sword. Cueto CAN strikeout when he has a good game, but he has slopes. One slope is the 4+ earned run games, with maybe 5-7 Strikeouts. Another slope is a 0-2 earned run game with 2-4 strikeouts and lastly the amazing 0-1 earned run games with 7-10 strikeouts.

Jonathan Sanchez is the same thing, only worse. The Giants. Only thing there is Tim Lincecum. Harang HAD a great season last year.

It's up to you. I can't make a decision. Unless your options on the FA waiver are good, then you should
