What should I do with my flip flops?

They are plain white, foam flip flops I got at Michaels. I tried putting sead beads on them, but they wouldn't stick and I don't like how it looks. My mom is making me do them for my aunt and cousin. The colors are pink and purple. I'll need like 2-3 yards of...whatever. I'd like links with the craft instructions or if you could type it out. I have 2 hot glue guns (low temp. and regular), ribbon in pink, purple, blue, and silver, double sided tape, paint, seed beads(uggh!!!), yarn, buttons, foam, and I'm willing to spend $30 for anything else. Thank you for your answers.

I just made some for friends. I bought some fun fur yarn and crocheted around them. They are so cute.
