What should I do with my haaaair?

Along with highlights and lowlights, i've also been considering putting color back into my hair. I'm 17 years old, so i've sort of grown out of it, so nothing too extreme. I used to be a crazy kid, I had blue hair, purple hair, pink hair, every color hair. It's either lowlights and highlights or some random color.

I know i'm making a really retarded face, but you can see how my hair is:

I say cut it all off.. go for an old school Sade, moder Demi Moore or crazy Britney Spears. NO?? Hmm, I think it'd be quite the statement!

You know i think you should dye it a brunette color jsut because its a pretty color and i think you would look great with it!!
