My recycling collecters don't accept it, I haven't seen and recycling centers anywhere nearby, and I don't have a compost bin.

  1. Toilet Paper??

  2. shred it and use it as packing protection, donate it 2 an animal shelter, etc.

  3. Shredded, it makes great packaging material, and friendlier than styrofoam.

Shredded and mixed with white glue it makes paper mache. If you make flower pots, be sure to seal the insides with a waterproof paint or glaze.

You don't have to have a compost pile to use it in the garden. shred the paper and you can mix it into the garden soil to help retain moisture.  Over the course of time it decays and you can add more.  I've read some suggestions tto use it as a weed barrier like garden weed block. I haven't tried this.

  4. Remove the moldings around doors, windows & baseboards. Scrunch up & stuff the paper in anywhere there is a air gap between sheetrock & wood, replace moldings.

I have really cut down on my paper consumption. Switch to saving files on your computer or external hard or thumb drive (transportable) and reading them onscreen instead of printing them out.

This is an excellent question and a combination of all answerer's suggestions should be used if you have a lot of paper!

  5. Shred the paper and donate to an animal shelter who uses paper shreds for litter pans or bedding. If you don't have a shredder, go to Ooffice Mmax or similar office supply and ask if they will shred for a charity.

  6. search for a recycling center nearby online or start a compost bin it is really easy.

  7. This may be a terrible idea but you could probably burn it if you don't want to throw it in the trash ... use the ask in the yard.  Of course, it's a fire hazard though unless you have experience with fires (and make small fires).

  8. I keep it in a stack by my microwave and cover plates when I nuke food.  Keeps my microwave clean and gets a 3rd use out of the paper.

Or I use it for packing material in packages (I sell on eBay).

  9. shred it, then use it to store apples
